username=&#8221;@BlowingAwayWest&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>HOW TO CREATE THE LABEL USING CRICUT DESIGN SPACE AND DIE CUT MACHINE<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 1:<\/u> Measure the bottle.\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to measure the height of the existing label or bottle print, and the width around the bottle.\u00a0 Make sure your measurement will cover all words and graphics on the existing bottle.\u00a0 Write down the measurements for all your bottles.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 2:<\/u>\u00a0 Open a new canvas in Cricut Design Space.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 3:<\/u>\u00a0 Select the shape tool on the left side of the canvas and add a square to your canvas.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 4:<\/u>\u00a0 Resize the square by clicking the icon that looks like a padlock in the tool bar at the top of the page to unlock the proportional resizing.\u00a0 Type in the width and height of your bottle.\u00a0 Select the color of the rectangle from the right sidebar.\u00a0 Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each bottle.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-742\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest-546x1024.jpg\" alt=\"chill pills\" width=\"546\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest-546x1024.jpg 546w, https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest-320x600.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest-768x1440.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest-600x1125.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.blowingawayoutwest.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/chill-pills-pinterest.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 546px) 100vw, 546px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><u>Step 5: <\/u>Now that you have created your label, it\u2019s time to write on it.\u00a0 We had a lot of fun coming up with silly names for the chill pills.\u00a0 Be creative!\u00a0 Select the text tool from the left sidebar menu, then choose your font using the top menu.\u00a0 I like to filter my fonts by clicking the cone shape and choosing \u201chas a writing style\u201d for projects like this where I want the Cricut to write on it using the pen.\u00a0 Choose a font create your label language.\u00a0 You can resize by dragging the corner of your text box.\u00a0 Click the middle of the text box, and hold to drag your entire text box into position on the label.\u00a0 Choose your pen color from the left layers menu, also make sure that the \u201cwrite\u201d icon is clicked (rather than the default icon for cut)<\/p>\n<p>Next, you will need to weld the text to the label so that Cricut knows that the text needs to be written on the label.\u00a0 To do this, click your mouse and drag a blue outlined box over the entire label and writing.\u00a0 This selects both the label and the text box.\u00a0 On the right layers menu, there are options at the bottom.\u00a0 Choose \u201cweld\u201d from the options.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 6:<\/u>\u00a0 This step is optional.\u00a0 You can add other decorating elements to your bottles using the \u201cAdd Images\u201d icon on the left menu bar.\u00a0 We decided to add some images to our bottles, and to apply them using cut vinyl.\u00a0 Be careful about the size and how intricate the image is.\u00a0 Tiny cuts aren\u2019t always easy to weed, and can look messy.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to do Step 6, choose colors in the layers panel at the right that aren\u2019t exactly the same as your pill label.\u00a0 This moves your vinyl images to a different mat than the labels for cutting.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 7:<\/u>\u00a0 Send your project to the machine by clicking \u201cMake it\u201d at the top right.\u00a0 Look at the mats displayed on the left side to make sure that all the labels are on separate mats from the vinyl images.\u00a0 Cricut allows you to drag elements to different mats if you need to make changes, but choosing different colors in step 6 should prevent you from having to make mat adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure that you take the time between mats to choose the correct material on the cutting dial of the machine.\u00a0 Cut the labels out of cardstock and the images out of vinyl.\u00a0 Follow all the prompts.\u00a0 The machine will tell you when to insert the pen into the left pen holder.\u00a0 Push down until it clicks before closing the clamp.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it!\u00a0 This is such a fun beginner project for the Cricut crafter.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to see pictures of your chill pills.\u00a0 Add them in the comments!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tutorial for Cute Mint Containers from Medicine Bottles &nbsp;
