As some of you know, my sweet 13-year-old daughter has Alopecia Totalis.\u00a0 It’s a disease that causes her hair to fall out, and so she navigates Middle School as a bald girl.\u00a0 It all started last year with a few patches of hair falling out until she was bald.\u00a0 So, all of this is new to her and she’s learning how she wants to present herself to the world.\u00a0 She tried wearing a wig last year, but we always (sort-of) joked that the wig covered her personality.\u00a0 This year she’s okay with being that bald girl in the baseball cap, until she isn’t.\u00a0 Because it’s hard to be different in a social media world where we compare our every day with someone else’s highlight reel–for her and for most women in our lives.<\/p>\n

That’s why I wanted to find a way to give her and other amazing women sincere compliments for Christmas.\u00a0 But, how do you wrap a compliment?\u00a0 You don’t…I tried and it just looked weird in snowman paper.\u00a0 So I figured out a way to give framed compliments.<\/p>\n

This framed compliment art is so easy that it probably doesn’t need a tutorial.\u00a0 \u00a0Just grab the free “You Are Enough” printable from our freebie library<\/a> and print it on cardstock.\u00a0 Although for best results, you may want to have it printed at an office supply store on a color laser printer.\u00a0\u00a0Place it in an 8″x 10″ frame of your choice.\u00a0 If the “You’re Enough” printable doesn’t match your friend’s style or personality, you can easily design your own on Canva for free.\u00a0 Or you can grab one of the free or $1 deal graphic design resources available on The Hungry JPEG.com<\/a>–my favorite site for graphic designs.<\/p>\n
